Stainless steel cat-back exhaust system for

2011-12 Dodge Charger

SMC24: 2011-12 V8 Charger 2.5” Cat-Back

SMC26: 2011-12 V6 Charger 2.5” Cat-Back

1. Begin by placing the vehicle on a lift or four jack

stands at maximum height. This will aid in an easier installa-

tion.

2. Unbolt your existing system starting at the connec-

tion behind the factory catalytic converter downpipes.

3. It’s time to install your new Cat-back system. Begin

by installing the two band clamps on to the after-cat x-pipe

(part #HVC21). Snug the clamps but do not tighten yet.

4. Nowinstallthetwomuferswithbandclamps,snug

but do not tighten.

5. Next install the new four piece tailpipes into the

rubber insulators. Notice that the pipes that connect to the

mufershaveonlyonehangerandtherearpipeshavetwo

hangers. Remember to use a band clamp at the center joint.

6. Finishbymakingallthenaladjustmentstothesys-

tem. Tight all clamps.

TECH TIP: Loosening the downpipes above the catalytic

converters at the manifold will greatly aid you in aligning this

system. Tighten these connections last.

7. Checkalltheconnectionpointsperiodically,asthey

may come loose.

ceived in your shipment before beginning installation. If you nd any

components missing, please contact our ofce at 800-421-3890 for

replacement. Installation of these kits will require a few simple tools:

jack stands, 13mm & 15mm wrenches, cutting device and penetrat-

ing oil. For a quicker and tighter installation, air tools are recom-
